Many of you will be coaching soccer for the first time as your children are introduced to the game.  More of you may feel a bit unsure of your coaching skills.  Middletown Youth Soccer Club is hosting a NOVICE COACHING CLINIC on Saturday, August 27, from 9:45 to 12:45 at the Middletown Public Library on West Main Road.  The clinic will be run by Hugh McCracken from Soccer Rhode Island.  Hugh will show you how to organize and manage your team as well as demonstrate techniques for teaching soccer.  In addition, you will receive an instructional DVD as a coaching resource.

The session is both indoors and outdoors.  Be prepared to play some very light soccer.  Hugh will demonstrate using a group of your children so please bring your child with you, age 6-10.
